The Public Health Nurses Association of Colorado is the specialty organization for professional nurses who are committed to the advancement of public health nursing. Our mission is to promote healthy communities by enhancing the practice of public health nursing. Our vision is to provide a unified public health nursing voice, assuring healthy people in healthy communities.

Our goals are:

• Advocate for public policies to promote healthy communities
• Provide educational opportunities
• Provide a forum for networking
• Promote empowerment of vulnerable populations

In order to fulfill our goals, we have active workgroups. We also have a Practice Council that provides a venue in which public health nursing practice-related issues can be fully vetted.
