PH Act of 2008 Resources

SB 08-194, the Public Health Act authorizes the Office of Planning and Partnerships of Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment to create a Statewide Public Health Improvement Plan, including core services and standards that will set priorities for the public health system in Colorado, and will provide the basis for local public health improvement plans.

The Advanced Public Health Nursing Certification Exam (formerly the Clinical Nurse Specialist in Public/Community Health Certification Exam), now has a new name, expanded eligibility options, two options for credentials, and the ease of computer-based testing.

2012 National Preparedness Report

FEMA and its partners released the 2012 National Preparedness Report (NPR) identifying significant progress the nation has made in areas of prevention, protection, mitigation, response, and recovery. Overall the Report found that the nation has increased its collective preparedness, not only from external threats, but also for natural and technological hazards.
